Another facet of Chemglass's abilities is the lining and coating of tanks and roofs etc. Given GRP's resistance to corrosion from both water and chemicals and its weight to strength ratio, these coatings/linings mean a sturdy and virtually maintenance-free solution to tank and roof problems.
Image 1 shows a steel tank we coated in chemical-resistant GRP that would be used for acid-washing parts.
Image 2 is of a brick and block bund that we internally lined with GRP. The bund was designed to act as a water resevior which would be used for quenching items.
The final image shows a flat substation roof which had been in a worse condition than the one in the foreground and had been severely leaking. Chemglass stripped the damaged roof and coated it with GRP, using a pure polyester surface veil and a final flowcoat to give it a smooth, resin-rich surface that will last for many years.
